- THE NEED:
- A practice partnership of two mature physicians was looking for a third younger partner to work with them in their urology practice. One of the partners wanted to retire soon, and they needed a younger doctor to pick up the slack and learn everything they had to offer.
- THE ACTION:
- To get this search off with a bang, the PHG recruiter placed a posting on a foremost specialty association job board and was contacted by a 2007 resident who was interested in the opportunity.
- THE RESULT:
- In fact, this opportunity would bring the resident much closer to where he and his wife’s family lived. But that’s not all. It also proved to be a great opportunity for the resident to gain the experience he needed from two seasoned professionals. Needless to say, everyone got along well and hit it off right from the start. This 50-year-old urology practice is in good hands and has a bright future ahead of it.
- THE NEED:
- This medical center in Kentucky had recently lost a physician who decided to move closer to family and was in serious need of a pediatrician. They had only one physician and two PAs to handle the workload of 80-85 patients a day! They chose Pinnacle Health Group to find a replacement.
- THE ACTION:
- Before using any other methods, the recruiter checked with his associates to see if there were any pediatricians looking to move to the southeast. He was in luck! One of his colleagues was able to refer him to a doctor who was interested in relocating to the southeast.
- THE RESULT:
- After investigating the opportunity, this calm and controlled pediatrician was impressed with the reputation of the practice. He would work alongside a well-respected, experience professional who possessed an energetic attitude. While some may think their two personalities were polar opposites, they actually got along quite well and proved to be a perfect fit in complementing one other.
- THE NEED:
- This medical facility faced a difficult situation. It needed to replace an existing physician with a more qualified and competent doctor that would provide the quality of healthcare its patients required. In particular, they were looking for an anesthesiologist.
- THE ACTION:
- The recruiter at Pinnacle Health Group conducted a comprehensive direct mail campaign and posted the listing on a prominent job board website. Within weeks, the recruiter got a record response rate of interested physician candidates. However, while several candidates were presented, the first candidate that responded turned out to be the best qualified, and an interview was set up.

- This candidate was excited about the possibility of moving to the area. In fact, he had an old medical license for the state and was in the process of renewing it. The timing couldn’t have been better! While vacationing in the area, the candidate interviewed with the medical facility and both were pleased. The physician was a university-trained professional who had superior qualifications. They offered him the job and he happily accepted.

- A growing hospital in Arkansas was in the process of expanding to meet their community’s growing population. They needed a good Family Practice/Obstetrics physician who spoke English and Spanish for one of their newly opened satellite offices.
- THE ACTION:
- The PHG recruiter responded to this need by initiating a direct mail campaign to the surrounding states and found a great candidate with excellent qualifications who was also bilingual. An interview was immediately arranged.
- THE RESULT:
- The client was very happy with her professional qualifications and both of them thoroughly enjoyed the interview. In addition, the physician was excited about moving to the location because of its rich scenic beauty and outdoor activities.
- THE NEED:
- This health system was in need of a Family Practice physician for a medical facility in Kentucky and decided to use Pinnacle Health Group to find the right candidate.
- THE ACTION:
- Using direct mail, the PHG recruiter sent out a targeted letter that reached qualified Family Practice physicians in the surrounding areas. One candidate, in particular, stood out as fitting the position. The recruiter focused on what was important to the physician and first determined that the opportunity would be a good fit for her before proceeding to the next step—the interview.
- THE RESULT:
- The health system was equally important by utilizing an excellent welcoming committee who organized a very well planned visit for the candidate. Needless to say, the interview trip was successful for both parties. The client felt the physician was good for the position and the physician was happy with what the job offered. She also liked living in Kentucky and was satisfied with the state’s excellent school system.
- THE NEED:
- Turning patients away is a clear indication that you need more physicians. This was the case with a physician group in Tennessee that was suffering from an overflow of patients and not enough Pediatric Pulmonologists to go around. They had to resolve the problem quickly and could not afford to make a mistake, so they decided to employ Pinnacle Health Group for the job.
- THE ACTION:
- Several means to finding the right candidate were set in motion, and the recruiter found a candidate that was two years away from finalizing his fellowship but ready to commit. After Pinnacle found the candidate, it was up to the supporting hospital and physician group to make a good impression on the candidate of choice.
- THE RESULT:
- Fortunately, this free-standing children’s hospital had a great in-house recruiting department that organized a very well-thought-out interview trip for the candidate. In fact, this interview happened to be the physician’s first one. Yet, the match was so good that the physician said he had found exactly what he wanted and the physician group, in turn, felt they were recruiting an excellently trained specialist with a great personality and a good fit for the community.
- THE NEED:
- A medical facility in Mississippi was starting up a new Intensivist/Hospitalist program to meet local demands and needed to find a well qualified hospitalist for their program.
- THE ACTION:
- The recruiter found an ideal candidate, a candidate finishing his fellowship as a Hospitalist, on a proprietary database and determine the physician was right for the position.
- THE RESULT:
- During the interview trip, the Hospitalist was so impressed with their program. In particular, he admired the schedule, facilities, equipment, and community so much so, in fact, that he decided to accept the extended contract. Now he and his family are enjoying all the community has to offer.
- THE NEED:
- This Mississippi medical facility needed a hospitalist for their new start-up Intensivist/Hospitalist program and turned to Pinnacle Health Group for help.
- THE ACTION:
- By way of in-depth researching and networking, the PHG recruiter located a hospitalist who was finishing his fellowship. He contacted the physician and carefully interviewed him to determine his needs and compare them to what his client had to offer. After determining these matched up, the recruiter presented him to the client and they proceeded to organize a site visit for the interested physician.
- THE RESULT:
- The Intensivist/Hospitalist program amazed the physician candidate. In turn, the client was satisfied with the candidate’s qualifications and training. They offered him a position in the program and he gladly accepted the offer.
- THE NEED:
- It was important for this physician group to find a Pediatric Surgeon that would work well with them. Earlier, one of their physicians had left the practice, and they were stretched thin with the amount of work they had to cover in his absence.
- THE ACTION:
- Pinnacle Health Group responded to their need by initiating a targeted direct mail campaign that located one particular Pediatric Surgeon who was looking to move to the area.
- THE RESULT:
- The group was happy to find that this physician candidate was a particularly easy-going person who meshed well with every group member and had an outgoing personality, but what really impressed them was that he had a dual fellowship in pediatric urology AND pediatric surgery! They recognized the contribution he would make and hired him onto their team.

- Sometimes the unthinkable happens and leaves a community scrambling for help in a desperate time of need. This was the case for a hospital in Tennessee when their local neurologist unexpectedly died. They needed to fill the solo position quickly and couldn’t take any chances.
- THE ACTION:
- Contacting Pinnacle Health Group, the client actively worked with the recruiter to find a qualified neurologist who could fill their need. Knowing what would produce fast results, the PHG recruiter initiated a direct mail campaign and found a neurologist in the east looking for a solo position.

- This physician had decided to move due to a saturated market where he currently worked. While he was a little hesitant about moving south, he knew what he wanted and realized that this opportunity would satisfy his clear-cut goals. Both interviewer and interviewee were honest and upfront and respected one another. The neurologist is now happily in practice and feels comfortable with both the practice and community.
