Atlanta, Georgia – January 29, 2018 – Pinnacle Health Group, a proactive physician recruitment firm that has placed over a thousand doctors in opportunities nationwide, invited Rob Followell, former STRHS Winchester/Sewanee CEO, to be their guest speaker at their company’s quarterly meeting. Rob has been a client of Pinnacle Health Group for over 20 years. His career as a healthcare executive spans almost 25 years, 7 states and 8 different for-profit companies. Over his career, he has built 3 new replacement hospitals, accomplished many major expansion projects, syndicated 2 hospitals, and recruited countless physicians, most with our assistance. Last year, Rob took a leap of faith and left STRHS Winchester/Sewanee to pursue his passion in becoming a motivational speaker and founded The Followell Company.
“We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” ― Winston S. Churchill
Rob spoke on a variety of motivational topics such as team dynamics, understanding and appreciating team diversity, effective communication, personal accountability, building personal and organizational trust, and the power of a collective vision. He inspired us to be a servant leader, one who puts the needs of others first and helps people develop and perform as highly as possible. He asked us to take time for introspection, identify a key way that we can grow and develop, and make a commitment to someone else in the company.
On May 20, 2017, it was with great sadness we announced the passing of Pinnacle Health Group’s founder and former CEO, John R. Couvillon. John touched many lives with his generous spirit and was the back bone of this company. He had an amazing and positive influence on us all and will be missed dearly. Rob Followell delivered a heartfelt presentation of his memories of John and showed such compassion for us in losing such a profound leader. He explained to us how change is inevitable and we should utilize this change as an opportunity to evolve professionally. We can achieve this by being a servant leader which will unlock purpose and ingenuity in those around us and ultimately empowering others to reach their full potential. John left us with tremendous positive energy, respect, courage, generosity, humility, and integrity that now lives on through this company. Our mission is to continue to grow the company, in honor of John and his legacy, and bringing healthcare to communities that need it. Our goal is to continue to make John proud!
“Stay positive ― Be grateful ― Love Life” ― John R. Couvillon
