The Need: A healthcare facility in Ellijay, Georgia needed to fill an outpatient Internal Medicine position. The position was located in a rural community that has a population size of 1,600. Not only was it a challenge to recruit a physician to a community of this size, it was also important to the client to find someone who was a good fit culturally.
Pinnacle Health Group partnered with the organization to find a physician who would fit their parameters and be qualified to deliver the highest quality of care to the community.
The Action: PHG set up a plan of action for the search. We first conducted a recruiter profile where we assessed what would be the best customized approach for the facility. The CEO proved to be extremely accommodating and followed many suggestions regarding salary and sourcing.
After completing the recruiter profile, Pinnacle implemented a sourcing strategy that utilized direct mail, email campaigns, and job boards. We received great responses from each, with email being the most effective.
The Result: Pinnacle Health Group found an Internist who is an American Medical Graduate and a perfect fit for the position. He lived in Ohio, but wanted to move closer to family in Georgia and Tennessee. This Internist liked the idea of living in a rural community and plans to build a farm with his family. He turned down a position in Ashville, NC to except the opportunity with the Ellijay facility.
Not only was the physician a perfect fit, but the placement also happened in a short amount of time. It took only two months from the time the physician was presented to the client to the time he signed a contract.
